Welcome to The South Sounder
Hi – I’m Mike Mostyn and welcome to The South Sounder. My friends refer to me as “The South Sounder” – a nickname I got when we moved here a dozen years ago. I guess I talked up the area too much, but the nickname seems to work as a moniker.
I’m a Washington State Windermere Broker with an office in Allyn and Belfair on the Olympic Peninsula. It’s my vision to offer the kind of real estate services in Mason County started in our tech corridors of Washington and California – more of a technical consultant’s menu of services with a heavy dose of digital marketing.
The real estate business is changing like everything else in the Internet age. Property is now shopped on the Net. Read my “10 Steps to Market Real Estate” before you interview your broker. In my view, using technology to buy and sell property is not an option – it’s the way it’s done.
This website is my attempt to keep you connected to these changes with the kind of information you should have. For example, this website is linked to TrendGraphix who produces great market trend charts for brokers. This is a rather expensive service but to you, it’s free and updated around the 10th of every month. I want to thank Windermere for providing this service.
88% of Mason County’s Puget Sound waterfront owners live somewhere else – outside the county. For them, I publish the area’s only newsletter, mailed quarterly to 2900 waterfront homeowners. This newsletter has local upcoming events, an analysis of the local real estate data as well as a seasonal recipe and local news.
